turning off...

my tv turns off for 20 seconds and blinks and then blinking stops and the tv comes back on again

0 My 60'' of the same line did the same thing, replaced the bulb and it worked fine. They say that the bulb gets hotter the older it gets, the shutting down and cooling is a safety precaution. not sure if there is actually a thermostat, or if the bulb has some lifespan timer. It is a pain though when you are used to replacing light bulbs when they actually burn out.
