Turns off...

Tv turns off by itself and then turns back on after the standby green light blinks 30 times. Stays on for five minutes then does it again.

4 I finally figured out how to do a systems diagnostics on the TV and found a lamp error. My lamp lasted for 8078 hours, where I believe, normal lamp life is closer to 4000 hours. Replaced lamp, and it works like new.

3 I am experiencing the same problem. I believe it's a lamp issue, and am contacting Sony on their main site in reference to the problem. My set is over 3 years old.
