I have a Symphonic television and lost the remote. You CAN NOT access game players or dvd players WITHOUT the remote. If you lose it-you are screwed. There is no way to manually access these functions WITHOUT the remote. I called and asked about it and that is what I was told. So if you do lose your remote, you will be screwed again by the high cost of the replacement remote for a poor quality tv. I will not ever buy a Symphonic or Funai product EVER again.
