In spite of NOT turned on at mains smell of burnin...

In spite of NOT turned on at mains smell of burning from TV which has not been used for weeks. On examination plastic casing at bottom back LHS hot to touch and started to melt. Not near any heat or sun just stood on top of chest of drawers.
