Question About Toshiba DVD VCR Combo DVR670
hook up...

I am trying to hook up this dvd recorder to my philips tv (2009) and directv satellite receiver. I have it hooked up according to the diagram in the manual. My picture on the tv is in black and white, not color. Also, it will not play vhs tape nor a dvd in color or properly.
