How do i play movies through USB port on Toshiba D...

How do i play movies through USB port on Toshiba DVR19DTKB2 ? I have used DivX converter to format to a DivX file AV1 and have used a USB drive formatted Fat32 to copy to. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
