I have a D-RW2SU recorder. Do I need the remote to set up and record discs. it keeps saying disc unreadable or cant record?? is there a way I can set it up manually> Thanks

0 have the manual. But it doesn't show anywhere to do it manually if the remote gets lost or broken.The AT&T u-verse I have does everything else on it but get me to the set up disk stuff.
