Venturer KLV3915 (15.4" Kitchen LCD TV / DVD combo...

Venturer KLV3915 (15.4" Kitchen LCD TV / DVD combo): Remote able to change TV channels for ONLY 20 - 30 seconds after which TV must be turned off to restore channel-changing capabilities. Changing batteries did not help. Suggestions?
