Question About Vivitar DVR DVR 548NHD

I just bought a the DVR548NHD for my grandson, and in setting it up the manual that is shown is the 538 which has different buttons for the zoom. The 548 zoom buttons aren't working and I wanted to look into it further before giving it to him. Where can I get the correct manual or an answer to this problem?
