Cannot get sound through the surround sound receiv...

Cannot get sound through the surround sound receiver. Only comes through component hookup. Do I need to have another hdmi cable for smart tv instead of the red yellow and white cord....HELP me please/thank you

0 vizio model # m3d47okd .How dop I get stero sound out of this model??? for audio sound bar ??? please help.
