Tv will not turn on...I thought it was remote batt...

Tv will not turn on...I thought it was remote batteries, changed them and nothing. The Red power light when off (turns blue when on) is present and I can't even turn it on manually usuing the buttons on the side of the TV. What is wrong? Cable box turns on fine......
