CANNOT GET CABLE...

i CANNOT ADD CHANNELS TO THE TV WITHOUT THE REMOTE, HOOKED UP THE CABLE BUT NO CLEAR PICTURE. CANNOT CHANGE CHANGE PAST CHANNEL TWO. WHAT CAN I DO??
