3M 380I VCR User Manual

Manual Highway Tape Applicator
The Manual Highway Tape Applicator (MHTA) is a 160-pound
aluminum and steel, two-wheeled, push type cart used for
applying pavement marking tape. The reliable feed mechanism
is designed with sprags that allow pavement marking tape to be
easily and continuously fed without jamming or tape fold over.
The MHTA offers an operator interface with a pull-back handle
making application easier and providing straighter tape lines.
The machine is constructed with a knife assembly for easy
cutting of standard thickness pavement marking tapes like the
3M™ Stamark™ High Performance Series 380I ES as well as
thinner tapes such as 3M™ Stamark™ Pavement Marking
Tape Series 710. The knife assembly also includes an anti-stick
modication to prevent the tape from sticking as it is being cut.
The MHTA blade design allows user to apply in a ‘passing
lane’ arrangement. Two rolls of tape can be applied at the same
time since the blade can cut either one or both rolls of tape.
Applying tape in this way keeps the spacing constant between
lines leading to an attractive, quality application.
Motorized Manual
Highway Tape Applicator
The Motorized Manual Highway Tape Applicator (MMHTA)
is similar in design and features to the MHTA, but has wider
tape width abilities and an added self-propelled motorized
capability for easier installation. The MMHTA is a 325-pound
aluminum and steel, two-wheeled, motorized cart used to apply
pavement marking tape.
MMTHA is capable of applying two 6-inch tapes with six inch
spacing between lines. Combinations of solid and skip lines
may be applied simultaneously. Single line widths up to 12
inches wide can also be installed as a solid line or skip lines.
The MHTA and MMHTA can be used to apply all 3M Stamark
pavement marking tapes at maximum standard roll lengths.
***Note: The ‘squeeze to apply’ mechanism is not available for the MMTHA
Enhanced Highway Tape Applicator
The Enhanced Highway Tape Applicator (EHTA) is a
170-pound aluminum and steel, two-wheeled, push type cart
used to apply pavement marking tape. It offers reliable material
feeding and easy threading capabilities that is not sensitive to
tape-set and reduces tape fold-over. The serrated blade cuts
tape positively and cleanly.
Highway Tape applicators are designed to easily apply 3M
Stamark
Pavement Marking Tapes with
pressure-sensitive adhesive for inlay, overlay and grooved surface applications. There are now three
highway tape applicators available to help you with your application needs.
