4 Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit password. The
default password is 0000. The Parental Controls menu opens.
5 Press or to highlight Change Password, then press ENTER
or . The Enter New Password screen opens.
6 Press the number buttons to enter the new password. On the
next line, enter the new password again to confirm it. The
Parental Controls menu reopens.
Note: If you forget your password, enter 9999.
7 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press EXIT to
close the menu.
Setting parental control levels
You can set parental controls for the U.S. and Canada. The following
procedure shows how to set controls for U.S. TV ratings. You use similar
steps for controlling U.S. movie and Canadian TV ratings.
To set parental controls:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to highlight SETTINGS. The SETTINGS menu opens.
3 Press or to highlight Parental Controls, then press ENTER
or . The Enter Password screen opens.
4 Press the number buttons to enter your four-digit password. The
Parental Controls menu opens.
5 Press or to highlight USA Parental Locks or Canadian
Parental Locks, then press ENTER or . The USA Parental Locks
or Canadian Parental Locks screen opens.
