COPYING A TAPE
You can copy recordings (such as home videos) from one
tape to another using two VCRs.

Connect the VCRs as shown.

Insert the recorded cassette into VCR 1.

Insert a blank tape into VCR 2.

Set the desired recording speed on VCR 2.

Turn on the TV and set it to channel 3 or 4.
If you use this model as VCR 2 to record:
œ Press the INPUT button on VCR 2 to select the rear
input jacks.
The AV indicator “L1” is displayed instead of a channel
number.

Press the TV/VCR button on VCR 2 to select the
VCR mode.

Place VCR 2 in the record/pause mode.

Press PLAY on VCR 1.

When the tape in VCR 1 has reached the desired
point, press (release) PAUSE/STILL on VCR 2.
Recording begins.

Press STOP (or STOP/EJECT on the front panel) on
both VCRs when finished.
MAINTENANCE
Head Care and Cleaning
œ This VCR has a built-in automatic head cleaner. Under
normal conditions, the heads should not require
additional cleaning. If you suspect a problem, contact a
factory-authorized service center.
Cabinet Cleaning
œ Clean the outside of the cabinet with a clean, soft cloth,
moistened with lukewarm water and wrung dry.
DO NOT USE SOLVENTS OR OTHER TYPES OF CLEANSERS. THESE CHEMICALS CAN CRACK OR
DISCOLOR THE CABINET.
