Chapter 3: Adjusting Your Plasma TV Settings

Display
Shape/Size. Adjusts the screen width to 4:3, 16:9,
Panorama, or Letterbox viewing mode.
OSD Position. Adjusts the position of the OSD
within the display image.
OSD Timeout. Specifies the number of seconds
the OSD menu is displayed before it turns off
automatically.
OSD Rotation. Turns the OSD display 180°.
Closed Captioning. Activates and sets closed
captioning.
Background Color. Changes the color of the
background where a video signal is not displayed.
Audio
Treble. Adjusts the treble. The Line Out option
must be set to L-Var to use this option.
Bass. Adjusts the bass. The Line Out option must
be set to L-Var to use this option.
Balance. Adjusts the balance level between the
channels. The Line Out option must be set to
L-Var to use this option.
SRS WOW. Simulates surround sound.
Speakers. Turns the built-in or external speaker
connectors on or off.
Line out. Changes the audio output options for
the plasma TV.
L-Fixed: Does not change with TV volume.
L-Var: Lets you adjust the type of output your
plasma TV sends to the built-in speakers or the
external speaker connectors.
