Remote Control Overview
POWER
Turns DVD Recorder+VCR on and off.
TV/VCR
Switches between the DVD
Recorder+VCR tuner and your TV tuner.
DVD
Selects DVD mode.
VCR
Selects VCR mode.
INPUT
Switches the DVD Recorder+VCR input
to Tuner, AV1, AV2, or DV IN.
0-9 buttons
Selects numbered options in menus.
Selects TV channels.
TV Control Buttons
TV POWER: Turns TV on and off.
TV INPUT: Selects TV input source.
CH
v/V: Selects TV channels.
VOL +/–: Adjusts TV volume.
MUTE: Turns TV sound on or off.
REC MODE
Selects Recording mode:
- DVD : XP (1 hr), SP (2 hrs),
or LP (4 hrs).
- VCR : SP or SLP.
TIMER RECORD
Displays Timer Recording menu.
REC (z)
Starts recording. Press repeatedly to set
the recording time.
REW/FF (m / M)
DVD: Searches backward/forward.
VCR: Rewinds/advances during Stop
mode. Press during Play mode for fast
reverse/forward picture search.
PREV/NEXT (. / >)
Skips to next chapter/track. Returns to
beginning of current chapter/track or
skips to previous chapter/track.
AUDIO
Selects an audio language (DVD) or
audio channel (CD).
SUBTITLE
Selects a subtitle language.
ANGLE
Selects a DVD camera angle,
if available.
ZOOM
Enlarges DVD video image.
EJECT
- Opens and closes disc tray.
- Ejects tape in VCR deck.
COPY
Copies DVD to VCR (or VCR to DVD).
CLEAR
Removes bookmarks from Marker
Search menu.
TITLE
Displays disc’s Title menu, if
available.
DISC MENU/LIST
Accesses menus on DVD discs.
Switches between Original and Playlist
editing in VR mode.
SETUP
Displays or exits Setup menu.
DISPLAY
Displays or exits On-Screen Display.
RETURN (O)
Exits or returns to previous screen
in Setup menu.
bBvV(left/right/up/down)
Selects menu options.
CH/TRACK(
v/V): Selects channels in
VCR mode. Manually adjusts tracking.
ENTER
Confirms menu selections.
PAUSE/STEP (X)
Pauses playback or recording temporari-
ly. Press again to exit Pause mode.
Press repeatedly for frame-by-frame
playback.
PLAY (N)
Starts playback.
STOP (x)
Stops playback or recording.
ADD CHAP
Inserts chapter marker when playing/
recording DVD-RW disc in VR mode.
THUMBNAIL
Selects thumbnail picture for
current title for use in Original (Title).
REPEAT
Repeats chapter, track, title, or all.
A-B
Repeats sequence between two points
(A and B).
MARKER
Marks any point during playback.
SEARCH
Displays Marker Search menu.
CHILD LOCK
Locks/unlocks front panel buttons.
RANDOM
Plays tracks in random order.
CHILD LOCK
The Lock feature disables the front panel buttons to prevent children
from tampering with the DVD Recorder+VCR. Simply press LOCK on
the remote control to toggle this feature on and off.
