Setting disc parental controls
To set parental controls:
1 Press BD to switch to Blu-ray mode.
2 Press SETUP. The Setup Menu opens.
3 Press or to select Parental, then press .
You are prompted to enter the password.
4 Press the number buttons to enter the
password. The default password is 0000. The
Parental Control screen opens.
5 Press then press to select Off. Parental
Control must be set to Off before you can
adjust the parental controls.
6 Press to return to the previous level, then
press or to select Parental Level.
7 Press or to select the rating you want to
block. You can select:
• 1[Kid Safe]—Suitable for all children.
• 2[G]—General audiences.
• 3[PG]—Parental guidance suggested.
• 4[PG-13]—Not suitable for anyone under 13.
• 5[PG-R]—Parental guidance recommended.
• 6[R]—Not suitable for anyone under 17 unless
supervised by a parent or adult guardian.
• 7[NC-17]—Not suitable for anyone under 17.
• 8[Adult]—All DVDs can be played.
8 Press to save your selection and return to the
previous menu level.
9 Press to select Parental Control, then
press .
10 Press to select On.
11 Press to save your setting and return to the
previous menu level. Parental Control must be
set to On for parental controls to work.
Or
Press SETUP to close the Setup Menu.
Changing the password
To change the password:
1 Press BD to switch to Blu-ray mode.
2 Press SETUP. The Setup Menu opens.
3 Press or to select Parental, then press .
You are prompted to enter the password.
4 Press the number buttons to enter the
password. The default password is 0000. The
Parental Control screen opens.
Note
If you forget the password, eject the disc from the
tray, then while pressing and holding 7 on the
remote control, press STOP on your
TV/Blu-ray combo. “Parental settings is cleared”
appears on the screen and the password is reset to
0000.
