G-CODE and SHOWVIEW are different trademarks used to represent the same easy
recording feature. However, for simplicity, only the term SHOWVIEW will be used. If
you use G-CODE system, follow the same steps listed for the SHOWVIEW system.
Ⅵ ATTENTION:
A 21-pin SCART cable and a satellite controller are not provided as
accessory.
An input cable adapter and output cable adapter are
provided as accessories.
When you connect AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector to other
devices, connect the provided output cable adapter to
AV1␣ (L-1) IN/OUT connector.
When you connect AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER to other devices,
connect the provided input cable adapter to AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER connector.
Ⅵ Auto Clock Set and Auto Guide Program Number Set do not work when you perform
Auto Set Up (੬ pg. 12).
Perform the following procedures when you turn on the recorder for the first time.

to select "OTHER WESTERN EUROPE" for the country setting, then press OK.
2 Press

to select "AUTO SET", then press OK. Only the Auto Channel Set will be performed.
3 Set the clock manually (੬ pg. 80).
4 Set the Guide Program Numbers (੬ pg. 82) manually.
Ⅵ The T-V Link functions (੬ pg. 19) do not work.
Ⅵ The station names (ID) (੬ pg. 79) do not appear on the screen.
Ⅵ It is not possible to receive the broadcasts of PAL-I and NTSC. However, a tape
recorded in NTSC can be played back in NTSC on PAL mode (੬ pg. 72).
