Advanced setup
Accessing the advanced setup menu by pressing SETUP on the remote control will enable the user to edit and modify the settings of the DVD Player as follows:
The first menu is the Language settings menu. Here you select the language you wish to use for the menus, that will appear on
the screen, and your preferred language when playing a DVD film – for subtitles, speech and menus (they will only be used if
the film supports the language).

The DP-1100 may be connected either through SCART, S-Video, Component Video or SCART VGA. You should select the output
used to connect your television. If you have connected your television with either Component Video or SCART VGA, you will also
be able to choose a resolution matching your television.
This menu also enable you to choose your display format between 16:9 Widescreen, 4:3 Letterbox or Pan & Scan and your
Television System between PAL and NTSC.

Misc. settings
The misc. settings available in the advanced setup will enable you to set many different options, such as PARENTAL CONTROL,
or FRONT PANEL BRIGHTNESS. To set PARENTAL CONTROL for the first time, select first PARENTAL CONTROL PASSWORD,
enter a 4 digit number, then repeat it to confirm it. Then, select PARENTAL CONTROL LEVEL, enter your 4 digit password.
You can now choose between: OFF (No control), G (Suitable for general audiences), PG (Parental guidance suggested), PG13
(Parental guidance suggested, unsuitable for children under 13), R (Restricted, unsuitable for young viewers), NC17 (Adult
content, unsuitable for children under 17). You can also RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS of your player or choose to go back to the
QUICK SETUP menu.
This menu enables you to specify the audio connection used.
