Liquid Crystal (Display) Television works by trapping a liq-
uid crystal solution between two sheets of polarized glass.When
an electric voltage is put on the liquid crystals, they align so light
cannot pass trough.Each crystal then either blocks or allows light
to pass through it based on the broadcast information.For clear,
crisp color that rivals traditional CRT displays, a thin film transis-
tor,known as a TFT is employed.
LCD allows screens to be thinner, and televisions lighter and more
energy efficient than ever before.
