3.2 Interactive TV
Benefits
Interactive TV can offer additional infotainment or programmes on a
digital TV channel. Interactive TV is dependent on the country or
broadcast. Benefits range from enhanced text to online TV and much
more.
For some iTV services, you need a high-speed connection to the
Internet. Read Help > Setup > Network.
Use iTV
To open iTV, press the Red key while watching a digital channel. If
interactive TV is available, the Home page of the broadcaster opens.
To close iTV, press b (Back) repeatedly until the iTV page closes.
MHP iTV
If the TV is installed for country Italy, MHP (Multimedia Home
Platform) is active. The MHP applications are provided by the
broadcasters. The MHP application pages offer all kinds of
interactivity. You can respond to a program or vote, do online
shopping or pay for a video-on-demand program.
To fully enjoy MHP you need a high-speed connection to the
Internet. Read more about connecting the TV to the Internet in
Help > Setup > Network.
Open MHP pages
When you tune to a TV channel that offers MHP, wait for the MHP
icon to fully load the application.
To open the MHP pages, press the Red colour key or press
Teletext, depending on the application.
To close MHP, press Exit.
Navigate MHP pages
You can use the navigation and colour keys, the number keys and
the b (Back) key to navigate the MHP pages. You can use the
keypad on the remote control as you do for SMS/text messaging to
enter text.
Auto start
The TV is set to load the MHP pages automatically. To avoid the
automatic loading, you can switch off the MHP auto start.
To switch off auto start, press e (Browse), select MHP applications
and press OK. Press x to bring out the item on screen if necessary.
Select Disable MHP auto start to switch off the automatic loading.
Select MHP applications
Some MHP pages might not launch. If so, you can try to launch the
application from the MHP application list.
Press e (Browse), select MHP applications and select Disable
MHP auto start. This setting makes the individual application
selectable. Select the desired application in the list (if it is available)
and press OK to launch the application.
