SBC RU 240 Instructions for use
READING OUT THE 4-DIGIT BRAND CODE
After using autosearch to set up the remote control, note the 3-digit code for
future use.
1. Press the device button of the device you want to read the code from.
2.
Press and release keys 1 and 6 simultaneously.
Important: after pressing the keys, you have to release them
immediately!
– The indicator LED lights up.
3. Press -/--;
– The LED indicator goes out.
4. Press 1:
– the indicator starts to blink; Count the number of blinks for the first digit.
Note: if the indicator does not blink, the digit is 0.
5. Press 2:
– the indicator starts to blink; Count the number of blinks for the second
digit.
6. Press 3:
– the indicator starts to blink; Count the number of blinks for the third digit.
7. Press 4:
– the indicator starts to blink; Count the number of blinks for the fourth digit.
8. Write down the code inside the remote's battery lid.
USING THE AUX BUTTON
The AUX button can be used to control a second TV, VCR or SAT receiver. The
AUX button is pre-installed for a second video recorder. If you want to operate a
second TV instead, proceed as follows:
1. Press and hold 1 and 6 at the same time for 3 seconds.
– The indicator LED lights up.
2. Enter 9,9,2
3. Press TV
4. Press AUX
– Now follow the procedures in the Chapter SETTING UP BY CODE ENTRY
to enter the code for your second TV.
If you want to operate a second SAT receiver with AUX, in step 3 press SAT
(instead of TV), and use the SAT code list to find the brand code.
