The plasma display panel is manufactured using an extremely high level of precision
technology, however, sometimes some parts of the screen may be missing picture
elementsorhaveluminous spots.Thisisnotamalfunction.
After-imagesappear
Do not allow a still picture to be displayed for an extended period, as this can cause a
permanentafter-imagetoremain onthePlasmaDisplay.
Examples of still pictures include logos, video games, computer images, teletext and
imagesdisplayedin4:3 mode.
Note:
The permanent after-imageon the Plasma Displayresulting from fixed imageuse is not
anoperatingdefect.
Thisproductisnot designedtodisplayfixedimagesforextendedperiodsoftime.
Snapping sounds may be heard from the
displayunit.
This sound is produced when the cabinet expands or contracts due to variations in
temperatureandisnot amalfunction.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The front of the display panel has been specially treated. Wipe the panel surface gently using only a
cleaningclothorasoft,lint-freecloth.

Ifthesurface isparticularlydirty,soakasoft,lint-free cloth inaweakdetergent solutionandthenwringthe clothto
removeexcess liquid.Usethisclothto wipethesurfaceof thedisplaypanel,then wipeitevenlywith a drycloth,of
thesametype,untilthesurfaceisdry.
Donotscratchorhitthesurfaceofthepanelwithfingernailsorotherhardobjects.Furthermore,avoidcontactwith
volatile substances such as insect sprays, solvents and thinner, otherwise the quality of the surface may be
adverselyaffected.
Ifthecabinetbecomesdirty,wipeitwithasoft,drycloth.

Ifthe cabinetisparticularly dirty,soakthecloth inaweak detergentsolutionandthen wring theclothdry.Usethis
clothtowipethecabinet,andthenwipeitdrywithadrycloth.
DonotallowanydetergenttocomeintodirectcontactwiththesurfaceofthePlasmaDisplay.
Ifwaterdropletsgetinsidetheunit,operatingproblemsmayresult.
Avoid contact with volatile substances such as insect sprays, solvents and thinner, otherwise the quality of the
cabinetsurfacemaybeadverselyaffectedorthecoatingmaypeeloff.Furthermore,donotleaveitforlongperiods
incontactwitharticlesmadefromrubberorPVC.
