ANTENNA CONNECTION
If an outdoor antenna is connected, follow the precautions below:
An outdoor antenna should not be located anywhere that can be
in contact of overhead power lines, or any other electric light or power
circuits.
When installing an outdoor antenna system, extreme caution should be
taken to prevent contact with power lines. Direct contact with power lines
may be fatal and should be avoided at all costs.
Section 810 of National Electrical Code (NEC) provides information with
respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure,
grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit,
size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit,
connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding
electrode.
