Auto: For normal use. Still and fast motion images
can be paused.
Frame: The resolution of still pictures is improved,
so that you can make a motionless picture
more clearer when you pause it.
According to performance of your connected audio
system, select a sound processing option for
playback of a disc that contains high frequency
signals (sampling frequency 96 kHz),
Off: Select when you make a connection via the
ANALOG AUDIO OUT jacks.
The DVD video player outputs PCM signals
with no conversion.
However, if the PCM signals are copy-
protected, they are not output from the
BITSTREAM/PCM DIGITAL AUDIO jack,
unless they are 48 kHz/16 bit signals.

processes high frequency signals of 96 kHz.
The DVD video player outputs PCM signals
with no conversion.
However, if the PCM signals are copy-
protected, they are down-sampled to 48 kHz/
16 bit.
On: Select when your connected audio system
does not process high frequency signals of 96
kHz.
The DVD video player down-samples PCM
signals to 48 kHz.
Note
If you select "Off" or "Auto" because your connected
audio system does not process high frequency signals
of 96 kHz, you wil! not hear output sound from those
signals.
