Using TV Features

Picture Settings
Dyna-Backlight
This function automatically strengthens the black coloring of dark areas in the video
according to the level of darkness.
Brightness
Controls the overall brightness of the picture.
Color
Controls the overall color of the picture.
Tint
Controls the difference between the green and red regions of the picture.
Sharpness
Increase this setting to see crisp edges in the picture; decrease it for soft edges.
Advanced Picture Setting
Dynamic Contrast -
Dynamic Contrast detects changes in picture quality that affect the appearance
of your contrast settings and then automatically adjusts the video.
Color Temperature -
Adjusts the color temperature to achieve a warm or cool effect:
Warm: Increases warm effect.
Normal: Neutral.
Cool: Increases cool effect.
Noise Reduction
DNR
Enables you to "soften" the screen representation of a weak signal to reduce the noise
effect.
MPEG Noise Reduction
Allows you to reduce visible interference caused by MPEG compression.
Theater Settings
Picture Size
Natural, Wide 1, Wide 2, Wide 3, Full, 4:3 HD, Native, and Dot by Dot (available in
PC Mode Only).
Picture Scroll
You can set separate scroll settings for the Wide 2 and Wide 3 modes for each input.
Auto Aspect Ratio
When the auto aspect ratio feature is set to On, the TV will automatically select the
picture size when one of the following input sources is received:
A 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i digital signal from the TV input
A 480i signal from the Video or YPbPr input
A 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, or VGA (60Hz) signal from the HDMI 1/2 input
Cinema Mode
When you view a DVD (3:2 pulldown processed) from a DVD player connected to the
Video, YPbPr (component video), or HDMI inputs on the TV, smoother motion can
be obtained by setting the Cinema Mode to Film.
MEMC 120Hz
Doubles the frame rate from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second to
eliminate motion blur and judder.
