Basic Operations
Selecting a menu item
Press and hold down the MENU/
STOP button for at least two sec-
onds.
Press the Y or T button: Moves the cursor
highlight up/down.
Press the W button: Selects the menu item.
Canceling the operation or return to the previ-
ous display.
Press the MENU/STOP button: Returns to the
previous display.
Using the headphones
Connect the headphones to the socket. The
speaker will be disconnected automatically.
Using an external stereo
microphone
Connect an external stereo microphone (not sup-
plied) to the socket.
The built-in microphones will be disconnected
automatically.
Note:
· If you use an external stereo microphone, press and
hold down the MENU/STOP button for at least two
seconds to access the VOICE menu, then select
“MIC” for the REC SELECT.
Turning the power on or off
Set the POWER/HOLD switch to
the right.
“HELLO!” appears briefly on the dis-
play and the power turns on, and
then the last selected file number appears (Resume
function).
Set the POWER/HOLD switch to the left. “SEE
YOU!” appears on the display and the power turns
off.
