Completing Installation
Before you reassemble your computer, be sure that
■ The host adapter is firmly seated and secured in the slot
■ The devices on each SCSI bus are properly terminated
■ Each SCSI device on the SCSI bus has a unique SCSI ID
■ Internal and external SCSI devices are firmly connected to the
host adapter, and pin-1 orientation is correct
■ Only one floppy controller is enabled (AHA-1522A only)
Many computers have floppy controllers on the motherboard
or on a non-SCSI controller.
Follow these steps to complete installation:
1 Replace and secure the cover of the computer case.
2 Reconnect the power cords to all external SCSI devices and the
computer.
3 Turn ON the power to all devices.
4 Boot the computer.
See Chapter 5, Troubleshooting, if you encounter any problems during
installation.
