Using Your Bluetooth Hands Free Kit
Powering On/Off
Thebluetoothkitwillautomaticallyturnonwhenthevehicle’skeyisturnedtotheaccessorypositionandwillremainon
untilthevehicle’saccessorypoweristurnedoff.Afterturningon,thebluetoothkitwillautomaticallysearchforphonesthat
havebeenpairedwithit.Sinceitispossibletohavemultiplephonespairedtothesystemtheorderof priorityof
connectingwillbethelatestphonepaired,thephonemostusedwiththesystem,thephonesecondmostusedphonewith
thesystem.Ifthebluetoothkithasnotbeenpairedtoaphonepairingwillautomaticallyactivate.
MakingaCall
Whenconnectedtothebluetoothkityoumayuseyourphoneasnormaltodialnumbersorsearchyourcontactslist
or by using Voice Dialing.
VoiceDialing
ToactivatevoicedialingpresstheANSWER/ENDkeyonthebluetoothkeypad,thesystemwillpromptyoufora
command.Clearlyspeakyourcommand(example,“CallShaun”).Thesystemwillthenconfirmthecommandandin
thisexamplewillthencall“Shaun”.
Ending a Call
Toendacallpress theANSWER/ENDkey.
Answer aCall
Whenthereis anincoming callthe vehicle’sradiowill bemuted/turnedoffandthe callwill ringthrough the
vehicle’sspeaker,toanswerpresstheANSWER/ENDkey.
Ignore an Incoming Call
ToIgnoreanincomingcall pressand holdtheANSWER/ENDkeyfor2to 5seconds.
Redial the Last Numbe r
ToredialthelastnumberpressandholdtheANSWER/ENDkeyfor2 seconds.
Adjusting the Call Volume
Transfer a Call
TotransferacallbetweenbluetoothhandsfreeornormalphoneoperationpressandholdtheANSWER/ENDkeyon
thebluetoothkeypadfor2seconds.
Pairing
ToactivatephonepairingpressandholdtheANSWER/ENDkey for10seconds,thesystemwillbeep3times.At
thistimeyouwillneedtoactivatepairingonthephone,seeyourphonesownersmanual.ThePINcodeforpairingis
1234andwillneedtobeenteredintoyourphoneatthetimeofpairing.
*Throughoutthismanual, ‘press’ refersto pressingfor lessthan 1second, ‘press andhold’ refers topressing for2
seconds.
While in a call, to adjust the volume up/down with the ANSWER/END key, pressing and holding the
ANSWER/END key will automatically raise or lower the volume. When the max volume is reached it is set up
to automatically lower the volume down to the min level. The system will beep 2 times when the min/max
volume levels are reached.
