OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
To Test For Leaks In Original Radiator Cap
1. Refertothevehicle’sservicemanualforanyspecificradiatorcappressuretestinginstructions.
2. Loosenthevehicle’sradiatorcapslowlytorelieveanyexcesspressurebeforeremovingthecapcompletely.NEVEROPEN
THESYSTEMWHILEHOT,asthismaycausepersonalinjury.
3.Choosethecorrectradiator
capconnector(5Aor5B)andcorrectsteelradiatorcap(#02,#03,or#04)forthecorrect
vehiclebeingtestedfromthetestkit.Fastentheoriginalradiatorcaptotheradiatorcapconnector(5Aor5B)andthen
fastenthesteelradiatorcap(#02,#03,or#04)fromthe
testkittotheotherendoftheradiatorcapconnector(5Aor5B).
4.Removethehandpumpassembly(#1)fromthetestkitandfastenthequickcouplerattheendofthehosetotheradiator
cap(#02,#03,or#04)securely.Operatethehandpumpuntilreachingthe
pressurerecommendedbythevehicle
manufacturer.‐DONOTOVERPRESSURIZETHERADIATORCAP.Idealreadingsshouldrangebetween15‐20PSI
(1.03‐1.37BAR).
