Setting the sleep timer
You can specify the amount of time before your TV automatically turns
off.
To set the sleep timer:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to highlight SETTINGS, then press . The
SETTINGS menu opens.
3 Press or to highlight Time, then press ENTER. The Time
sub-menu opens.
4 Press or to highlight Sleep Timer, then press or to
select the amount of time you want your TV to stay on before it
automatically turns off.
Note: Select Off to turn the Sleep Timer off.
5 Press EXIT to close the menu.
Note: You can also press SLEEP on the remote control to set the sleep
timer.
Using closed captioning
Selecting the closed captioning mode
To select the closed captioning mode:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to highlight SETTINGS, then press . The
SETTINGS menu opens.
3 Press to highlight Closed Caption, then press ENTER. The
Closed Caption Setup screen opens.
4 Press to highlight Caption Control, then press or to
select the CC Mode. You can select:
• CC On—Turns on closed captioning
• CC On When Mute—Turns on closed captioning when the
sound is muted.
• CC Off—Turns off closed captioning.
5 Press EXIT to close the menu.
Note: You can also press CCD on the remote control to turn closed
captioning on or off.
