Is it "Fatal error"?
"Maintenance error" has
occurred.

"Ink low error"?
Replace the Ink drain
pads and then reset the
EEPROM.
(Refer to Section 1.5.1
and Section 3.2.9.)
Check the ink cartridge
sensor or release sensor.
If they are defective,
replace them.
Does the error
still occur?
Reset the release lever
and check if any paper is
loaded in the printer.
Replace the ink cartridge
with a new one.
Turn off the printer and
move the carriage manually.
Does it move
smoothly?
Check the CR motor and
drivers. If they are normal,
replace the MAIN board.
Is the problem
corrected?
Proceed to Section 5.5
