8. To reinstall the front bezel, align the plastic tabs on the bottom of the bezel
with the corresponding holes in the chassis, then pivot the bezel inward until it
snaps into position.

Replacing the heat sink
Attention
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading the “Important safety
information” in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer.

This section provides instructions on how to replace the heat sink.
1. Open the computer cover. See “Opening the cover” on page 11.
2. Locate the heat sink. See “Locating components” on page 8.
3. Remove the four screws securing the heat sink to the system board.
Note: The four screws can be removed from the system board only and cannot
be removed from the heat sink.
4. Lift the failing heat sink off the system board.
5. Position the new heat sink on the system board so that the four screws are
aligned with the holes on the system board. Tighten the four screws to secure
the heat sink to the system board.
