Unplug the USB cable/Eject the
“Memory Stick”
For Windows 2000/Me users
To unplug the USB cable or eject the “Memory
Stick”, follow the procedure below.
(1)Move the cursor to the “Unplug or Eject
Hardware” icon on the Task Tray and click to
cancel the applicable drive.
(2)A message to remove the device from the
system appears, then unplug the USB cable or
eject the “Memory Stick.”
For Macintosh users
(1)Quit application programmes opened.
Make sure that the access lamp of the hard
disk is not lit.
(2)Drag and drop the “Memory Stick” icon to the
Trash or select Eject under the Special menu.
(3)Eject the “Memory Stick.”
Notes on using your computer
“Memory Stick”
•“Memory Stick” operations on your camcorder
cannot be assured if a “Memory Stick”
formatted on your computer is used on your
camcorder, or if the “Memory Stick” in your
camcorder was formatted from your computer
when the USB cable was connnected.
•Do not optimize the “Memory Stick” on a
Windows machine. This will shorten the
“Memory Stick” life.
•Do not compress the data on the “Memory
Stick.” Compressed files cannot be played back
on your camcorder.
Software
•Depending on your application software, the
file size may increase when you open a still
image file.
•When you load an image modified using a
retouch software from your computer to the
camcorder or when you directly modify the
image on the camcorder, the image format will
differ so a file error indicator may appear and
you may be unable to open the file.
Communications with your computer
Communications between your camcorder and
your computer may not recover after recovering
from Suspend, Resume, or Sleep.

Voor Windows 2000/Windows ME
gebruikers
Voor het losmaken van de USB-kabel of het
uitnemen van de “Memory Stick” gaat u als volgt
te werk.
(1)Plaats de cursor op het pictogram voor
“Losmaken of afsluiten apparatuur” op de
taakbalk en klik hierop om het betreffende
station te sluiten.
(2)Nu verschijnt een mededeling om het apparaat
van het systeem los te koppelen; dan kunt u de
USB-kabel losmaken of de “Memory Stick”
uitnemen.
Voor Macintosh gebruikers
(1)Sluit alle geopende toepassingsprogramma’s.
Wacht tot het toegangslampje van de vaste
schijf niet meer brandt.
(2)Sleep het “Memory Stick” pictogram naar de
prullenbak en deponeer het daar of kies
Afsluiten uit het Speciaal menu.
(3)Neem de “Memory Stick” uit de opening.
Opmerkingen bij gebruik van
uw personal computer
“Memory Stick” bediening
•Voor de juiste werking van de “Memory Stick”
in uw camcorder kan niet worden ingestaan als
de “Memory Stick” geformatteerd is met een
personal computer of als de “Memory Stick” in
uw camcorder is geformatteerd via een
computer die is aangesloten met een USB-kabel.
•Probeer niet de “Memory Stick” te optimaliseren
met een Windows computer. Dit kan de
levensduur van de “Memory Stick” bekorten.
•Probeer niet de gegevens op een “Memory Stick”
te comprimeren. Gecomprimeerde bestanden
kunnen niet worden weergegeven met uw
camcorder.
Bijgewerkte gegevens
•Afhankelijk van het gebruikte
toepassingsprogramma kan een bestand met
stilstaand beeld na het openen wel eens groter
zijn geworden.
•Wanneer u beelden, na aanpassing of
retoucheren met een programma op uw personal
computer, opnieuw naar uw camcorder
overbrengt of wanneer u de beelden op uw
camcorder zelf aanpast, kan het beeldformaat
hierdoor zodanig zijn veranderd dat er een
foutmelding volgt en u het bestand niet meer
kunt openen.
Communicatie met uw personal
computer
De communicatie tussen uw camcorder en uw
personal computer kan wel eens verhinderd zijn,
na het weer opstarten vanuit de sluimerstand,
spaarstand of wachtstand.
