Step 7: Inserting a tape or a “Memory Stick Duo”

1 Slide and hold the OPEN/
EJECT lever in the direction of the
arrow and open the lid.
The cassette compartment automatically
comes out.
2 Insert a cassette with its window
facing outwards, then press
.
The cassette compartment automatically
slides back in.

• Do not push the portion marked
while the cassette
compartment is sliding in. Doing so may
cause a malfunction.
3 Close the lid.
To eject the cassette
Open the lid following the same procedure
as described in step 1 and remove the
cassette.
b Notes
• The pictures of the LCD screen and the
viewfinder may disappear for a few seconds if
you do any of the following while using the AC
adaptor. This is not a malfunction.
– Insert/eject the tape
– Turn on your camcorder when the tape is in
the camcorder
– Change the POWER switch position when the
tape is in the camcorder
