Preference page
Note: To access the Preference menu, the disc tray drawer must be
open or when the disc is completely stopped .
The Preferences menus are used to set the default language tracks the
DVD99 will use for Soundtrack, Subtitles and Disc Menu if they are
available on the disc. The DVD99 will automatically select the
appropriate language from those available on the disc where possible.
Also it is possible to restrict the type of disc able to be played back via
the Parental control menu item.
With the Preference page selected, use the and buttons to move
up/down to the desired sub-menu. Use the navigation arrows
() to adjust the settings and press the ENTER button to confirm
your selection. See the following list for the Preference page structure:

Use to set the output video system (PAL/NTSC) to match the type of TV:
Auto (default) – No system conversion is performed. The output video
system is the same as that encoded on the disc. Requires TV that
supports multi-systems.
PAL – When playing PAL-encoded discs, no system conversion is
performed. NTSC encoded contents are converted to PAL output.
NTSC – When playing NTSC-encoded discs, no system conversion is
performed. PAL encoded contents are converted to NTSC output.
Audio
Use this to set the default soundtrack language of the DVD disc to be
played.
Subtitle
Use this to set the default language of the subtitles displayed on the TV.
Disc Menu
Use this to set the default language of the menus in the disc top menu.
Parental
Use this to restrict the playback of adult rated DVDs you do not want
children to view. Select the rating level you do not want to be accessed
and press ENTER. Discs with this rating and higher will now not be able
to be played without a password.
Note: Viewing cannot be restricted unless the restriction level is
recorded on the disc. Discs without a restriction level encoded will still
be accessible.
Password
Use this to change the password. The unit’s default password is 7890.
Default
Select 'Default' and press the ENTER button to restore the DVD player to
it’s factory default settings.
Note: All settings previously set by the user will be lost!
