SPDIF SETUP
OFF:

PCM:
Here you set up the digital sound format that
comes from the co-axial or optical output on the
back panel. This signal is used when the unit is
connected to a digital surround receiver.
Closes the digital outputs.
Opens for the pure, non-modulated
digital signal.
Stands for Pulse Code Modulation. It may
be necessary to activate this function if the
digital surround receiver cannot recognise the
sound format.
AUDIO SETUP
Includes Downmix setup, SPDIF setup, Dolby
Digital setup and HDCD setup.
Here the analogue sound format is selected.
DOWNMIX
LPCM OUTPUT
Here the digital output format is selected. If
48KHz is selected, the sampling frequency will
be converted to 48KHz. If 96KHz is selected,
the sampling frequency of the digital signal will
not be converted.
SCREEN SAVER
If the unit is not used for 2 minutes, the screen
saver will be activated. This will prolong the
service life of the connected TV set. The screen
saver is preset to “ON”.
LAST MEMORY
This function will remember where the DVD
was stopped the last time and allow you to
continue from that point. Last Memory is preset
to “ON”.
LT/RT
STEREO
5.1:
: A kind of Dolby Pro Logic format. It is
used when the unit is connected to a Pro Logic
receiver through stereo RCA cables.
: Used when the unit is connected to a
TV solely through a Scart cable, or when the
unit is connected to a Dolby Pro Logic II
receiver through stereo RCA cables.
Used when the unit is connected to a 5.1
analogue receiver through the 5.1 outputs.
DUAL MONO
Here you can choose between stereo, left
channel mono, right channel mono or mixed
mono. This function can e.g. be used for a VCD
with two languages (e.g. English on the left-
hand side and French on the right-hand side)
where you choose only to hear one channel in
both speakers.
