E) SPEAKER SETUP
The speaker setup options are illustrated below:
z DOWNMIX
Use the Ÿźbuttons to scroll through the DOWNMIX
options.
LT/RT
: Use this setting when connecting to a Dolby
Digital amplifier
STEREO
: Use this setting when connecting to a stereo
TV or amplifier.
VSS
: Use this setting to make a two speaker system
sound as though it includes rear speakers; the "virtual"
rear speakers allow you to enjoy a surround-like effect. It
is for use with Dolby Digital DVDs only.
F) DIGITAL SETUP
The video setup options are illustrated below:
z OP MODE
LINE OUT
: Select this setting when you connect to a TV
that has AV inputs (most TV’s).
RF REMOD
: Select this setting when you connect to a
TV that doesn't have a direct AV input. This option will
take the RF signal and increase the sound level of the
signal to make it clearer. Usually only older TV’s will not
have direct AV inputs.
z DYNAMIC RANGE
When “LINE OUT” setting is selected, choose this setting
to adjust
the range between the softest and loudest levels a
source can produce without distortion. When you set the
dynamic range to
FULL, the peak values of the audio will
be minimized, this is great for night time viewing as you
do not have to keep on changing the volume level when
you are listening to louder parts of a movie or musical
piece (i.e. explosions, rock concerts etc.). When you
change the setting to OFF, you will hear the sound as it
was recorded when it was being produced. This means
that some parts of a musical piece or movie might be
much louder then other parts depending on the musical
piece or movie.
Note:
This option is only available when the DOWNMIX option
is set to OFF.
