Subtitle Language 33
• With some DVDs, you may select a
subtitle language only in the Disc
menu.
• If the desired language does not
appear after pressing the SUBTITLE
button several times, the Disc does
not have subtitles in that language.
• The subtitles may be delayed for a
few seconds.
• For some Subtitle languages, three
dashes (- - -) may appear instead of
a three-letter abbreviation for the
language (ENG, FRE, etc.).
Helpful Hints
The DVD Player allows you to select a language for subtitles
during playback. You may select only the subtitles that are
available on the Disc.

Press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select a subti-
tle language. The subtitle display will appear at the
top of the TV screen. The number of available lan-
guages appears at the right of the audio display. In
this example, six languages are available (1/6). The
display will disappear after about five seconds.
Press SUBTITLE.
Press SUBTITLE to
select another language.
To turn off subtitles, press
SUBTITLE or {/B repeatedly
until SUBTITLE OFF appears
in the display.
