Simulated surround modes allow various types of surround effects to be produced by mimicking both the direct sound, as heard by the
audience,andthesoundreflectedbackfromthesurroundingwallse.g.ceilingand floorspace ina spacesuchasa Disco.There arethree
different effects to choose from, each reflecting a different atmosphere.
Setting
Effect Appropriate sources
Disco
A room so full of music that it seems to engulf the
listener.
Disco, Dance or Jazz music.
Movie
Playback of software (films) not encoded with Dolby
surround.
All movies or music software recorded without Dolby
surround.
Stadium A large sports stadium packed for a live game. Any live sports occasion.
The speaker output levels from the different options, e.g. Left, Centre, Right and Rear
should beadjusted,from your usuallisteningposition,toobtainthebestresults.Thelevel
can be set using either the TV sound or the provided test signal.
When using external stereo equipment, it is advisable to set the speaker levels to the
midpoint position.
Speakerlevelsetup showninProLogicNormalmode, theadjustmentsavailable willvary
according to the current mode chosen.
