Real Time Counter Memory
Follow the steps below to reset the real time counter to zero at a
tape location you want to refer to later.

Play,fast forward, or rewind a tape to the location that
you would like to refer to later. Press the STOP button on
the remote control or the STOP/EJECT button on the
VCR to stop the tape.

Press the STATUS/EXIT button. The status displaywill appear
on-screen for about five seconds.

While the status display is still on-screen, press the CLEAR but-
ton to reset the real time counter to zero.

While the counter is still on-screen, press the MEMORY but-
ton to set the real time counter memory. M will appear to the left
of the real time counter on-screen.

To go to a tape location where the real time counter was
reset to zero, press the REW(ind) button or the F.FWD
(Fast Forward) button when tape playback is stopped.
When the tape reaches the point at which the real time counter
was reset to zero, the tape will stop. Press the PLAY button to
watch the tape.
• TheMEMORY button does not func-
tion if Repeat Playis set to ON.To

• Toerase a RealTime Counter
Memory, press the MEMORY button
until the M disappears from .the
screen.
• Youmay onlyset the real time
counter to zero at onelocation at a
time. If you try to set the real time
counter to zero at a secondlocation,
the previousreal time counter to zero
setting will be erased.
