Memorizing the Channels(if not connecting to a digital cable or satellite receiver)
Auto Channel Search
You should perform an auto channel search to search for all channels available and stores them in memory.

Now Start to Scan item is highlighted, press 4 or ENTER button to
begin the auto channel search.
The TV begins memorizing all TV/DTV channels available in your area.
In Channel menu, press 6 to select Auto Scan item, then press
4or ENTER to access.

= If you want to stop the auto scan, press MENU button.
If you set Antenna to Air, then do the following steps to search channels:

Highlight Cable System item, press 3or4 button to select one of
STD, IRC or HRC according to your local area’s cable system. If
unsure, then please select AUTO and the TV will auto detect the
proper cable system.
In Channel menu, press 6 to select Auto Scan item, then
press4or ENTER to access.

If you set Antenna to Cable, then do the following steps to search channels:
Use 6or5 to highlight Start to Scan item, press 4 or ENTER
button to begin the auto channel search.
The TV begins memorizing all CATV/CADTV channels available in
your area.

Navigate to the Channel menu, at the bottom of the menu screen the DTV
Signal bar is displayed indicating the level and quality of signal that is received
by the unit for the current DTV channel.
Monitoring DTV Signal Strength
You can make use of DTV signal strength bar to check how strong your DTV
signal is and whether you need to adjust your antenna or digital cable input.
The higher the signal strength, the less likely you are to experience picture
degradation.

Setting the AIR/CABLE Option
When you turn on the TV for the first time, you should perform an auto channel search to set up stations on your TV if not
intending to use a cable or satellite receiver.
Note: Be sure to select the TV input source before operation.
Before your TV can memorize the available channels, you must specify the type of signal source that is connected to the unit.
(i.e., an antenna or cable system)

Press MENU and the main menu screen displays.
Highlight Air/Cable item, and then press 3or4to select Air or Cable.
Press 3or4to select Channel menu, press 6 to access.

Select Cable if using Cable TV, select Air if using VHF/UHF antenna.
