Getting Started
4 Press "/1 to turn the system on.
5 Connect the AC power cord (mains
lead) of the surround amplifier.
When wireless transmission is activated,
the LINK/STANDBY indicator turns
green.
If the LINK/STANDBY indicator does not
turn on, see “Wireless sound” (page 53).
About the LINK/STANDBY
indicator
The LINK/STANDBY indicator shows wireless
transmission status, as follows.
About the standby mode
The surround amplifier enters standby mode
automatically when the main unit is in standby
mode or wireless transmission is deactivated.
The surround amplifier turns on automatically
when the main unit is turned on and wireless
transmission is activated.
To specify the wireless
connection
If you use multiple wireless products or your
neighbors use wireless products, interference
may occur. To prevent this, you can specify the
wireless connection to link the main unit to the
surround amplifier (Secure Link function). For
details, see “Further Settings for the Wireless
System” (page 40).
Indicator Status
Turns green. The system is turned on, wireless
transmission is activated and
surround signals are being
received.
Turns orange. The system is turned on, wireless
transmission is activated with the
Secure Link function, and
surround signals are being
received.
Flashes green or
orange slowly.
Wireless transmission is
deactivated.
Turns red. The surround amplifier is in
standby mode while the system is
in standby mode or wireless
transmission is deactivated.
Turns off. The surround amplifier is turned
off.
Flashes green
quickly.
The wireless transceiver is not
inserted correctly into the wireless
transceiver slot.
Flashes red. The surround amplifier’s
protection is active.
