Using TV Features
Advanced Iris By selecting the iris option, you can obtain the best brightness and contrast suited for your
TV viewing.
Auto 1, 2 Automatically detects the brightness of the screen. These options are
best suited for programs such as movies that often change between
bright scenes and low light setting scenes.
Auto 1:Recommended option for viewing programs that have larger
variation in brightness from scene to scene.
Auto 2:Recommended option for viewing programs that have less
variation in brightness from scene to scene.
High With this option, the screen has maximum level of brightness. It is
suitable for TV viewing in a brightly lit room.
Medium With this option, the brightness is about the standard level.
Low With this option, the screen is dimmed but contrast is at a maximum. It
is suitable for TV viewing in a room with low lighting.

• When Picture Mode is set to Vivid, Advanced Iris option is automatically set to
Auto 1.
Picture Increases or decreases picture contrast.
Brightness Brightens or darkens the picture.
Color Increases or decreases color intensity.
Hue Increases or decreases the green tones.
Color Temperature
White adjustment
Cool Gives the white colors a bluish tint.
Neutral Gives the white colors a neutral tint.
Warm 1, 2 Gives the white colors a reddish tint.

Picture Mode settings determine the available Color Temperature options:
Sharpness Sharpens or softens the picture.
Noise Reduction Reduces the noise level of connected equipment, and the VHF/UHF/CABLE input. Select
from Auto (available only with VHF/UHF/Cable input), High, Medium, Low and Off.
DRC Mode High Density Creates a high-resolution picture with 4 × density, for high quality
sources (i.e., DVD player, satellite receiver).
Progressive Recommended for still pictures.

DRC Mode is available only with 480i source. DRC Mode is not available when using
the Freeze feature.
DRC Mode is not available when the Game Mode is set to On.
