C2000™SeriesDSPsandTMS470™Seriescontrollers.TheControlandDataconnectorsaredesigned
toallowpatterngeneratorsand/orlogicanalyzerstobeconnectedtotheEVMusingstandardribbon-type
cableson0.1-inchcenters.
TheBYTEsignal,whichcontrolstheoutputoftheADS836xwhenusedwith8-bitcontrollers,canbe
manipulatedwithjumperW7.Bydefault,W7isclosedandtheBYTEpinisheldlow,providingdatain
16-bitformat.RemovingtheshuntatW7assertsBYTEhighbymeansofpullupresistorR23.
TheconversionclockcanbeappliedtoJ7,aBNCconnectorwitha50-terminator,orJ5asmentioned
previously.JumperW8allowstheEVMusertoselecttheclocksource.Innormaloperation(factory
default)theshuntonjumperW8iscoveringpins2-3.TouseaclocksourceappliedtotheBNCconnector
J7,movetheshuntatjumperW8tocoverpins1-2.Ineithercase,theconversionclockcanbemonitored
atTP21.
