Remote Control failure
Check the main power source.
Check if the Remote Control batteries are weak.
Check if the batteries have been correctly installed.
Check if there are obstructions between your Remote Control and the main TV
Remote Control sensor.
Disconnect the TV cable for two minutes before reinstalling it.
Disconnect the TV main power for 10 seconds before reinstalling it. Restart
your TV.
Try holding the Remote Control 2 inches from sensor.
Picture is blurry
Check if the same problem exists on other channels. If the other channels can
be viewed correctly, then there is probably a fault in the TV program you are
viewing.
If using an outdoor antenna, check all connections.
Check your accessories such as video recorder, VCD, or DVD players.
If the problem persists, contact your dealer immediately.
Troubleshooting Table
Before calling service personnel, please refer to the following table to see if you
can resolve the problem yourself.
Problem Solution
TV will not turn on Plug the TV into a power outlet.
Ensure that the power outlet is working by plugging in another electrical device.
Make sure that the batteries in the Remote Control are not depleted.
Make sure batteries are placed correctly in the Remote Control.
Unplug the TV for a few minutes and then turn it on again.
Poor sound or no sound Check volume and mute settings.
Check for possible sources of interference.
Blurred picture or no picture Check antenna or TV cable.
Check for possible sources of outside interference.
Check picture settings.
Some channels are not clear Check outdoor antenna and make necessary adjustments.
Check for possible sources of outside interference.
Poor color tone or no color Check Color settings.
Check if channel is properly tuned.
Check antenna and cable connections.
Check for possible sources of outside interference.
No reception from cable Check if the cable is connected properly.
Check if channels are tuned properly.
Check if the cable company is experiencing technical problems.
Cannot receive channels
above 13
Check TV channel settings (CATV/TV) are set properly. (See “Channel Input
(CATV/TV)” on page 18.).
Check antenna and UHF settings.
Unable to operate Remote
Control
Check for weak batteries or possible obstructions between the Remote Control
and TV sensor.
Check main power source.
TV shut off Check if preset sleep mode features are on.
TV programs may have ended.
