Basic Playback
You can play back discs at various speeds, and resume normal playback.
Playing at x2 Normal Speed or Scanning at High Speed
Press SCAN button during playback.
The “SCAN 1” appears on the TV screen.

The playback speed becomes x2 the normal speed.
Pressing the PLAY button again changes the playback
speed to the normal speed.
●
The x2 playback does not operate in case of audio CD.
Hold down the SCAN or button during
playback.
●
The speed of scan is relatively slow at first and becomes
faster. (The speed increases up to 3 steps in case of DVD
disc.)
To return to normal playback, release the SCAN
or button.

The DVD player does not play back sound during the high
speed reverse and forward playback of DVD video discs.
However, the DVD player plays back sound during fast forward
or fast reverse playback of audio CDs.

Playing Frame by Frame
You can advance a DVD video disc frame by frame.
Press PAUSE/STEP during still playback.
Each time you press the PAUSE/STEP button, the picture
advances one frame.
To return to normal playback, press PLAY.

The sound is muted during frame by frame playback.

The Frame advance function is operated forward only.
