The BD signal used to synchronize the video signals in laser scanning direction is gener-
ated by the BD PCB with reference to the laser beam reflected by the BD mirror mounted in
the path of the laser beam.
The edge of paper re-picked in double-sided mode is detected by the horizontal registra-
tion sensor to measure the displacement to the rear/front. Based on the measurement, the
timing of laser activation is changed with reference to the BD signal so that the image will
be placed at a specific position on the paper without fail.
