Automatically scanning for channels
When you scan for channels, your TV searches for channels with signals
and stores the channel information in the channel list. When you press
CH or CH , your TV goes to the next or previous channel in the
channel list and skips the channels that do not have signals.
If the TV signal source changes, for example if you change from an
outdoor antenna to cable TV (no box), you need to scan for channels.
To auto scan for channels:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
2 Press or to highlight CHANNELS. The CHANNELS menu
opens.
3 Press or to highlight Auto Channel Search, then press
ENTER. The Auto Channel Search screen opens.
4 Press or to select Antenna or Cable, then press ENTER to
start the scan.
You can see the progress of the search and the number of
channels found in the on-screen menu. After the scan is
complete, the menu closes and your TV tunes to the first channel
on the list.
Notes:
You can press EXIT to stop the search at any time.
If you don’t need analog channels after auto searching for digital
channels, you can press EXIT or MENU within ten seconds of the
prompt.
You don't need to scan for channels if you are using a cable or satellite box
because the available channels are provided by the box. Press EXIT to
close the menu.
5 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press EXIT to
close the menu.
